The inner city is, in all candor, a prison for human potential instead of a prism through which it shines. My assistance of urban advocates focuses upon sturdy souls whose efforts bend bars of apathy or aggression confining light.
Finding your ” Super ( unique potential to develop self and help others ) ” in the Hood means transcending it. A super inner citizen rejects violent crime, blight and poverty without hesitation. He or she operates in defiance of stifling statistics to such an extent he/she becomes a living civics lesson.
Bending bars of caged culture frees imprisoned intellect and integrity. They must be bent by those closet to them instead of by external proxy. Saving the Hood by transcendence begins and ends with your super creating larger than life escape velocity away from often deadly areas and attitudes making them so. Prison or prism Hood- the choice is yours. Put on your cape and choose wisely. It’ll only be saved by taking flight from within.
Transcend, super sisters and brothers, transcend.
