Creative citizens who’re real life superheroes ( RLSH ) cover the political spectrum. In our combative presidential election cycle, take comfort that RLSH, for the most part, perform good deeds in a non-partisan manner.
This advocacy is as ” liberal ” as social justice outreach to the homeless and hungry while being ” conservative ” on self-defense and literally stopping crime instead of awaiting the authorities. As a political observer, I’d venture to say American real life superheroes are a Center Left constituency, with significant Green Party, Libertarian and even Republican representation.
An ideal unites us which transcends labeling. We don’t wait for government to ration protection and resources to areas often drowned out by donors loud dollars. We support its role in public safety and social services, but hit the field ourselves against crime and need. This consensus binds RLSH together, while dividing more conventional citizens along party lines.
Left and Right are under enormous pressure with little relief in sight after the next president is elected. Against such a volatile political backdrop the politics of super allow partisans to join a bigger ” party “, voting daily on the streets, as much needed real life superheroes! Get your RLSH on! :).
